Trunyan Village, an Older Traditional Village in Bali with Unique Traditions

Bali is a tourist area that always has a unique difference from other tourist attractions. One of the famous tourist destination because of its uniqueness is Trunyan Bangli, why is unique? not because of the place that makes it unique, but because of the uniqueness in terms of the burial of the dead. In general cemetery in Bali was carried out by means of burial and burning (cremation) although the burial ultimately also had to be held cremation ceremony.

But unlike Trunyan village, the village is touted as the oldest village in Bali is carrying out the funeral only to put his body in a special place called 'seme wayah'. Although the place was a lot of dead bodies laid out just like that, no foul odor caused by the NII of the corpse was there. This might appear unusual, but that's the reality. Trunyan village is located on the west side of Lake Batur, and close to Mount Batur mountain into the ranks of Geopark and into mountain climbing. Trunyan has been recognized by domestic and foreign tourists as a unique attraction in Bali.
